Captain Dana Zimbardi is a US Coast Guard–licensed captain with over 20 years of professional experience and more than 35 years fishing the waters of Lake Erie. Growing up on the shoreline in Dunkirk, NY, he’s spent his life mastering the art of catching trophy walleye, salmon, and trout across the Great Lakes. From the shallow spring walleye runs near Dunkirk to the deep summer waters of Lake Erie and the salmon-rich currents of Lake Ontario, Captain Dana knows these lakes better than anyone.

Over the course of his career, Captain Dana has run thousands of successful fishing charters and helped clients land tens of thousands of fish—from record-class walleyes to hard-fighting salmon and trout. For 18 years, he’s been running professional fishing charters, with additional years as a first mate before earning his captain’s license.
